Lynn Muir - Flat Cap Man

This rather lovely Flat Cap Man sculpture by Lynn Muir is part of our 'Life in a Northern Town' exhibition and we love him; isn't he fun!

Lynn is an established british maker whose original art training was in illustration. She works from her home in a village overlooking the North Cornish coast.

She collects her raw materials, mainly driftwood from her local beaches. After time and much preparation with the help of machinary, hand tools and paint , it is transformed into wòoden figures varying in many individual  characters and situations.
