Self-taught, mixed media maker Kate Toms, creates 3D sculptural pieces from her Devon workshop.
A Stitch in Time is one of a small handful of pieces Kate has produced for our new exhibition ENCHANTED TALES, which runs in Heart Gallery Hebden Bridge until 2nd November 2025.
Using paper, felt, wire, cloth and wood, Kate explores the ordinary and the everyday, both past and present. Celebrating the humdrum with a gentle humour, she invites the viewer to connect, and to create their own narrative around each piece.
