Widdop - framed enamel landscape

For this vitreous enamel on copper panel Janine wanted to create a design that was calm and peaceful, particularly in this crazy, scary world.

Janine found a photograph of Widdop Reservoir that was simple and clean looking which she used to create her stencil and take inspiration from.

For the colours she chose a number of tones to blend and use through the six firings that created this panel. The panel is mounted on a white wooden background.

In recent years whilst still using stencils Janine has given herself a bit more freedom in the colours and layering she makes in some of her images which compliment the panals Janine is known for making.
