This is a mixed media fisherman’s hut by Frances Noon. She has based this wall piece on the real cabins at South Gare at the mouth of the River Tees.
All the huts there are painted the same green, but they are all personalised, some are very smart, her favourites are the ones that are weathered and make shift.
This hut is quite a smart one, it has 2 dogs on guard, an inquisitive cat, and lots of evidence of a successful day’s fishing.
