Lynn Muir - Tea at Betty's - lady in peach floral frock

Our Tea At Betty's ladies are by Lynn Muir and are part of our 'Life in a Northern Town' exhibition and we love them; they're so full of character and we have 3 in total.

Lynn is an established british maker whose original art training was in illustration. She works from her home in a village overlooking the North Cornish coast.

She collects her raw materials, mainly driftwood from her local beaches. After time and much preparation with the help of machinary, hand tools and paint , it is transformed into wòoden figures varying in many individual  characters and situations.
