Polly's love of the process grew through her Foundation Art Course and later blossomed into a Fine Art Printmaking degree at The Manchester School of Art.

Polly now works mainly in linocut, drawing inspiration from myths, legends, fairy tales and the countless books she devours, as well as those sudden, mischievous ideas that pop into her head when she least expects it.

At the heart of her practice is her much-loved character, Bunhead: a bold, resilient figure who delivers empowering messages with humour, honesty and a strong female voice.

Through Bunhead, Polly explores themes of strength, vulnerability and recovery. Whether Bunhead is wrestling with love, navigating trauma, or standing tall against a world that too often tries to silence women, she does so with a kind of simple, relatable power. It’s this mix of wit, warmth and raw truth that makes Bunhead so universally adored; everyone loves Bunhead.

Polly’s linocuts often combine striking female imagery with stylised text, making her prints as thought-provoking as they are visually bold. Each piece is a reminder of the importance of female voices and a celebration of resilience, courage and quiet rebellion.

At Heart Gallery we’re delighted to showcase Polly’s linocuts, giving Bunhead a platform to continue her empowering journey and connect with new audiences who see a bit of themselves in her story.
