With a background in architecture, Luke was first drawn to printmaking for its technical challenge, and quickly fell for the possibilities of creating marks unlike any other medium.

Working across a variety of processes, from relief to intaglio, Luke captures unseen forces, suspended moments and the quiet wonder of the natural world.

His pared-back palette of black, white and a pop of yellow has become his signature, bringing a bold yet simple clarity to subjects like cycling, hiking, swimming and camping. These are the everyday adventures that connect us to nature, distilled into striking graphic artworks that feel both contemporary and timeless.

For Luke, the joy of printmaking lies in the balance between technical skill and artistic expression. The process itself is part of the magic, a craft that demands patience, precision and a curiosity to see what new marks might emerge. It’s this energy that gives his work such character and makes every piece unique.

When he’s not in the studio, you’ll usually find Luke outdoors, running the hills, heading for the Pembrokeshire coast, or braving the occasional cold-water swim. It’s this lived connection with the landscape that feeds back into his work and keeps his creativity rooted in real experience.
