Rachel Butlin first exhibited her stunning high end, mixed media jewellery with us as part of our Summer 2017 exhibition EMERGE.
She has had an incredible 3 years since being accepted as a member of Design Nation in 2015. Rachel has certainly been one to watch since being selected for Hothouse 17, the Crafts Council’s Talent Development Programme for emerging makers.
Rachel Butlin is now based at the stunning Unit Twelve Gallery. Unit Twelve is a contemporary craft workshop and exhibition space in a stunning rural location in Staffordshire. It hosts a regularly changing programme of exhibitions, with complementary art workshops run by Jennifer Collier, Ian Perry and exhibiting artists.
Having a workspace at Unit Twelve has really given her the chance to further develop her practice. She is now a permanent resident there. A strong community of makers creates a great lively environment to work in with advice, reassurance and development. Rachel’s new pieces for us have a strong, bold colour palette, as always. As you can tell, we are delighted to be working with her again so do pop in to see her new collection.
