Emma White has been designing and making jewellery for forever it seems! Infact Emma was Jeweller in Resident at The Yorkshire Craft Centre where I (Alison) worked before starting Heart Gallery in 2006!
Emma graduated with a first from Art College in Dundee over 20 years ago and jewellery has been her passion ever since.
Emma started out supplying galleries and shops around the country with her silver design-led jewellery then opened her own ‘bricks and mortar’ jewellery boutique in 2004 in the small Yorkshire village of Farsley.
This was quickly followed by a jewellery school teaching adults to design and make their very own jewellery collections in silver.
Emma has since closed the shop to focus on selling online and teaching her lovely students jewellery skills.
Through her teaching Emma met many fabulous women and generally had so much fun she couldn’t believe she was lucky enough to teach them for a living. She is passionate about teaching adults and the benefits of lifelong learning and having hobbies for fun, headspace and long term happiness. Book a tutorial with Emma White here.
The online side of her business has continued to flourish and in 2017 Emma welcomed some new jewellers to the online team, all designer makers like her, ruining their hands at the bench peg all over Britain, making beautiful pieces of jewellery for small galleries and individuals.
The expansion to the team led to Emma’s decision to re-brand the site in 2018, which is now aptly named, ‘The Jewellery Makers’.
Here at Heart Gallery we are delighted to bring you Emma’s expanding Geometric range. This highly affordable range has simple yet clean lines and is one of our current favourites.
The pieces are hammered with Emma’s distinctive linear texture and polished to a high shine, making them an eye-catching and sparkly piece of silver jewellery.
Follow The Jewellery Makers over on Instagram and we look forward to seeing you in Heart Gallery soon to try one of these stunning pieces on in a safe, clean environment x
