Christina has been designing and making jewellery since 2003 and has a shop in Frome, Somerset. Her collections can also be found in shops and galleries throughout the British Isles.
Christina is a Fairtrade licensee and she only uses Fairtrade or recycled gold and silver in her pieces and all the gemstones are fair-mined or ethically sourced.
All pieces are stamped with Christina’s hallmark and the special Fairtrade mark.
Buying Fairtrade Gold makes a real difference to the lives of miners, their families and communities. Jewellery with the Fairtrade Gold Stamp is extra special.
Buying it means you know the small-scale and artisanal miners were paid a fair price, giving them financial security. They also receive an extra amount of money to invest in building the future of their families and their communities, through education, medical care or environmental projects.
Christina’s inspiration comes from using traditional hammering techniques to forge the metal into elegant forms and finishing them to a high polish.
Recently her work has been inspired by the study of ancient artefacts and metal forming. The marks made by the hammer while forging the piece are kept as part of the design, giving the pieces a weathered tactile quality.
We hope you love Christina’s jewellery as much as we do, simple yet elegant and understated. It’s with us for our Flow Spring/Summer exhibition throughout July.
