Since graduating from UCCA with a BA Hons (First Class) in Three Dimensional Design (Jewellery & Silversmithing), Laura has set up her practice in the heart of Southsea.
Laura is involved in local art projects and exhibitions, including Making Space, Aspex and Strong Island aswell as stocking galleries and shops all over the UK.
She also participates in annual selling exhibitions such as MADE, Origin, Desire.
Inspired by nature and organic forms, Laura’s ranges of beautiful hand-made jewellery are sympathetically composed from the combination of precious metals and precious / semi-precious stones.
Working instinctively, exploring the natural qualities of the materials used, the collections celebrate the fragile forms found in nature, creating beautifully delicate pieces to treasure.
Laura’s current range for our Flow Exhibition has been inspired by lavender and she uses all parts of this plant to create her range .
From the stems to the seed pods to the flower, Laura transforms her sketches of lavender into silver and gold plated jewellery that is so wearable.
You need to look really closely to appreciate the delicate stems that she has sympathetically designed and made into rings, bangles and necklaces but the finished pieces are stunning.
