Tom Gloster creates a unique range of ceramic kitchenware from his pottery workshop in Porthmadog, North Wales.
He studied applied arts at Derby University before setting up his pottery 14 years ago and hasn’t looked back.
Each piece is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel before being fired and glazed in Tom’s choice of seasonal colours, often inspired by the beautiful landscapes of North Wales.
Tom’s work is largely influenced by vintage ceramics and old pieces which he often hunts for at weekends in auctions and charity shops. He enjoys experimenting with glazes and clays to create different surfaces that relate to his surrounding such as the local beaches.
We are delighted to be showcasing Tom’s work here in Hebden Bridge for our Autumn/Winter season.
