For Emma every piece of jewellery has its own story and meaning, inspired by special moments in her life and reflecting thoughts and feelings that we all share.
From first dates to throwing away old shoes, from missing your garden to walking in the woods as a child, Emma creates pieces with a strong individual design using a love of life’s little quirks.
When talking about her “Goodbye Old Shoes” collection Emma says she finds her life to be cluttered with items so saturated with memories and emotion that no amount of practical thought can allow her to part with them.
When moving out of the family home there wasn’t the space for all of her shoes and thought that designing something beautiful in memoriam of those that wouldn’t make the cut would make it easier to throw them away, but it only enhanced an already tightly wound bond making her love them even more.
Predominantly made in sterling silver along with oxidised silver to give a strong colour contrast as well as polished 9ct gold to add a touch of luxury.
Emma likes her work to be elegant and deceptively simple, with an undercurrent of intricate detail full of hidden meaning.
Our MEET THE MAKER event with Design Factory is on Sunday 20th August so do pop this date in your diary and come along to meet Emma and the other designer/makers taking part.
